Road closures: Seminole Blvd will be closed east of Palmetto to Mellonville at 6 AM July 4.

Businesses on Marina Island will be open: Rivership Romance, Wolfy’s, RiverWalk Pizza, Efes Turkish Restaurant and Lake Monroe Old South Motel will be accessible from Palmetto Ave.

Parking: There will be a $5 parking charge for City lots. Handicapped parking will be available at City Hall, Hood Ave, Palmetto and First.

Marina access: On July 4th,the boat launching area will be secured with no unauthorized access. In addition, waterway traffic will be restricted for security reasons. While the public boat ramps will be closed, docked marine vehicles may exit the Marina area at 11:30 AM, 3:30 PM or 7:30 PM. To exit at one of these times, you must meet at the Rivership Romance Office 30 minutes prior to the launch time you choose to notify authorities of your intentions. Your vessel will be escorted out of the marked no-entry zone (i.e.safety zone) and no vessel will be allowed back in until after the fireworks area has been deemed "clear," approximately 10:30 PM. To ensure the safety of the general public during the event, the Sanford Marina will close at 8 AM on July 4, 2008. There will be no launching of boats after this time from the Marina. Other boat launches in the area are Wayside Park under I-4 on 17-92 and in Volusia County. Here is the link for boat launches in Volusia:

No later than Noon on July 5th, all barricades, signage and restrictions will be removed for business as usual.
